Memberships/Donor Options
There are many ways of giving to the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy Foundation. Your gift will benefit the work of the Foundation, as it addresses your personal financial goals. We will be happy to work with you and your advisors to develop a plan for giving that best matches your needs.
MEMBERSHIPS
Becoming a member is a great way to support the Foundation and stay informed. All membership levels receive a window decal, copies of the Foundation's Annual Report and the Conservancy District's Lake Views newsletter. All members receive invitations to Foundation special events and are recognized on this website and in the Annual Report. Memberships of $100 and greater receive a season pass valid at any MWCD park for free gate entrance. All memberships are fully tax-deductible. More importantly, though, you can make a huge difference in the quality of life for residents in the Muskingum Watershed.
Membership levels:
$25/year |
$50/year |
$100/year * Window Decal * Annual Report * Lake Views newsletter * Annual Meeting invitation * Season Park Pass |

DONATIONS
Donations of cash, stocks, real estate, partnership or business interests, retirement assets from your IRA, and personal property, will deliver immediate benefits to the Conservancy Foundation and provide you with significant tax savings.
YOUR ESTATE
Benefit the Conservancy Foundation by putting a bequest in your will. Cash, property, life insurance, retirement assets, and other portions of the estate can be included. This gesture costs you nothing now, yet benefits the Foundation in the future, and provides an estate tax deduction as well.
INCOME PRODUCING & REAL ESTATE GIFTS
By setting up a charitable gift annuity, a generous donation to the Conservancy Foundation provides you with immediate annuity payments and a deferred charitable gift. You'll receive a steady stream of income for life, and a tax deduction for the charitable portion of the gift. Upon your death, your charitable gift starts a fund in your name, family name, etc, to benefit the work of the Conservancy Foundation.
With a charitable remainder trust, your gift is transferred into a trust. You receive an immediate tax deduction for the charitable portion of your trust, and you or a beneficiary receives a designated regular income payment. Upon your or your beneficiary's death, the remaining assets in the trust transfer directly to the Conservancy Foundation. A fund will then be set up in your name, family name, etc. to again, enhance the work of the Conservancy Foundation.
Your gift can also create a charitable lead trust building a fund for the Conservancy Foundation during the term of the trust. Upon the end of your designated term of the trust, the remaining assets are transferred to your heirs, with significant tax savings.
Giving the Conservancy Foundation your house or property through a retained life estate, allows you to live on the property for the rest of your life.
For more information concerning the various ways you can achieve your financial goals while benefiting the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy Foundation, please contact us or your legal, tax, or financial advisors. We will be happy to work with you to help meet your charitable needs.
