Messerly Activity Building Fund Established
October 15, 2010
To honor her family and give back to the park she has come to love, Ms. Donna Messerly, respected professor at Ashland University, and long-time activities leader at Charles Mill Lake Park, has established the Messerly Activity Building Fund, a new component fund of the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy Foundation. Donna's very generous initial donation will spur future fund-raising efforts for the design and construction of an activities building at Charles Mill Lake Park. The new structure, to be built on a scenic wooded bluff overlooking the beach and lake, will provide an all-weather facility for programs, activities and events for park guests.
This is not the first instance of Donna's generosity at Charles Mill. Over the past two years, she has provided the funds to construct both shuffleboard and bocce courts at the park, adding more activites for park visitors. The many programs and activities she provides at Charles Mill and Pleasant Hill have been a wonderful part of the guest experience at both parks for years.
