Pleasant Hill Rangers and Park Visitors Benefit from Grant
October 15, 2010
Pleasant Hill Lake Park Rangers and the visitors they help keep safe, will benefit from a recent Foundation grant. $2,175 from the Foundation's James R. Pitney Law Enforcement Fund was awarded to the staff of the park to equip a ranger vehicle to allow it to be used in emergency response situations. The Pitney Fund was established in 2003 in memory of Jim Pitney, Charles Mill Lake Park Ranger, who was killed in an accident at the park in December of 2002. Jim was a big believer in supplying peace officers with the proper equipment, training, and education they need.
